The height of luxury, treat yourself with a relaxing massage, or a cleansing facial, by the side of your own private pool! It is just wonderful to have a shower afterwards and a swim and not driven anywhere!
Simply call our property manager and she will make arrangements on your behalf with our regular masseur. Booking in advance is advised as she is busy in the height of the season, but worth it and very reasonably priced too! You will definitely be wanting to book her again before you leave for home!
Many of the villas have soothing Jet pools or Jacuzzis – just a wonderfully indulgent way to massage tired muscles and drift away in your thoughts.
Taking time out for yourself is so important. We stress about the flights, what the weather is going to be like and the family! Well this is your holiday too! So whether is a good book in the shade, a cheeky glass of cold wine or simply a good game of cards with the family, let it be your choice and make it happen. Everything else can wait!
Healthy eating is so very easily achieved, as produce purchased locally is organic and usually home-grown. You will often find a locals selling home produced cheese, near the border and you may have tried it on your “welcome platter”, if not stop and try some as they are delicious. The young sheeps cheese is mild in taste and creamy in texture, the maturer cheese is slightly harder, saltier and a little like parmesan.
Locally grown fruit and vegetables from road side sellers or the market in Trebinje are just bursting with freshness and flavour. In Bosnia they will accept the local currency or Euros
You can’t leave the market without some home produced olive oil or the juiciest peaches and nectarines or if you can carry it, a watermelon. Maybe refreshments are needed, freshly squeezed lemonade or orange juice is always served in cafe-bars or it is easy to make yourselves.
Freshly caught fish, full of omega3, can be bought at the fish mongers, opposite Bingo supermarket, in Trebinje. On request they will gut and clean them ready for you to add your own seasonings ready for the BBQ or you can grab a quick bite in their small restaurant, over looking the river and trout farm. Recommended is the “Octopus under the bell” ( this means it is cooked slowly in a clay pot in the fire embers).
At the right time of the year, help yourself to fresh figs or pomegranates from our trees, I add them to salads with feta cheese and nuts and some of the reddest and tastiest peppers you will ever eat.
As the sun goes down on your day, breathe in the views that will make you smile and enrich your mind, soul and life!
